Can I configure multiple domains at once?

Bulk update: General remarks

Through your dd24 account you can modify multiple domains at once with our bulk update feature.

The following bulk update options are available:

  • Bulk DNS
  • Bulk WHOIS
  • Bulk nameserver

A bulk update is usually recommended if the same nameservers or the same WHOIS details shall be used for several domains.

A bulk update implies that you want to configure the same settings for all affected domains.

CAUTION:

  • Be careful when using the feature bulk update to change the DNS of more than one domain.
  • If you submit a DNS Set, this change will be adopted for all domains selected for the bulk update!
  • Example: A domain does currently have an MX record. However, no value for the field mailserver (IN MX) has been transmitted during a bulk update. This leads to the fact that the previously stored MX record has been overwritten with a blank value, and thus deleted. The e-mail functionality of the domain is not longer given then.
  • Similarly - if the mail server field (IN MX) specifies a value - this value will be taken for all the domains. So, a previously entered MX record would be overwritten with the new value.
