Activate Let`s Encrypt

If an SSL connection for a domain on a dd24 webspace is required, you have to activate "Let`s Encrypt".

After 1 - 2 hours the corresponding connection is ready to use.

  1. Active SSL

Once the webhost has been created, you can activate "Let`s Encrypt" encryption by clicking on activate.

Please note

"Let`s encrypt" is a free service.

The number of webhosts for which the service can be used is limited.

The number of "Let's encrypt" certificates depends on the size of your webspace package.

If the Let's Encrypt certificate is activated, a connection with both http and https is possible.

If required, you can use the configuration options of your CMS or a .htaccess file to generally forward all requests to https: //.

An example of the code in that file would be:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond% {HTTPS}! = On
RewriteRule ^ https: //% {HTTP_HOST}% {REQUEST_URI} [L, R = 301]

Please name the file ".htaccess" and save it in the main directory of your website.

The relevant information is without guarantee and adjustments to the .htaccess file by our support team are not possible.
