Do you have an impactful, innovative or simply beautiful .eu website? Then this one is for you. The .eu Web Awards have entered the ninth round.

The .eu Web Awards organised by Eurid - the .eu registry are back this year and you can win an online marketing package worth €5000. Here is all you need to know.

What are the .eu Web Awards?

The .eu Web Awards are an online competition that honour the best .eu, .ею or .ευ websites. Entering the ninth round, you can now nominate your own or your favorite .eu website until 17 August 2022.

Once nominated, it's up to your fans, friends and family to get you as many votes as possible. Voting is as easy as clicking a button, so mobilise your online (and offline) community to get you on the winner's podium!

What categories can I apply for?

When nominating a site, there are six categories to apply for:

  • Leaders: For small or established national businesses with a stable and growing customer base

  • Rising stars: For start-ups in the process of developing and finding their niche

  • Laurels: For non-profit organisations or institutions such as a schools or training programs

  • Better world: For environmentally friendly businesses, such as eHealth, Smart Cities

  • House of.eu: For the news, media, art or entertainment industry

  • Best of IDN: For everyone using the .ею or .ευ extension or having IDN characters in their domain name

What’s in it for the winner?

The three finalists in the six categories will be announced on 1 September. They are then invited to the exclusive .eu Web Awards Ceremony in Mechelen, Belgium, where the lucky winners will be announced on 17 November.

On the afternoon of the .eu Web Awards Ceremony, the .eu Registry will also host its first .eu Academy Masterclasses, where experts will address pressing issues with practical advice for you and your business. Rumour has it that among others Graham Cluley, the award-winning security blogger, and Stefan Kolle, one of the world's leading experts on Customer Centricity, will hold these afternoon sessions.

The finalists in each category with the highest scores from the jury will be selected as winners and receive a marketing campaign worth €5.000, an educational package with courses to improve website management, and the digital .eu Web Awards icon for their website and social media.
